More Information

These resources are designed as basic guides covering how to search archival records and introducing you to the the types of records you might come across. We’d always encourage you to check the specific guidance issued by your local and national archives and do your own further research about the records you are particularly interested in, including dipping in to the many brilliant and detailed books out there written by archivists, genealogists, local historians and more. Most local studies libraries have a book section full of these treasures.
